Created in 1999, the Quartier international de Montréal (QIM) is a non-profit organization that sprung from the desire of the Montréal community, under the leadership of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, to give the city a prestigious district of world caliber: the QIM project. Praised by local and international communities, the project and the QIM organization have already earned several awards and distinctions. Driven by the pursuit of quality and encouraged by the recognition of excellence bestowed on the project, the QIM continues to tackle new challenges, such as the redevelopment of McGill Street that will serve as a new bridge between Old Montréal, the Multimedia City, the Quartier international de Montréal, Old Montréal and the Lachine Canal.
