The Concordia University concert hall was built in 1990 as part of the revitalization of the Loyola campus. Since opening, the hall has hosted many internationally renowned artists and musicians, including members of Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Arol Guthrie, Ranee Lee and Oliver Jones. In tribute to one such exceptional individual, the venue was renamed for acclaimed pianist Oscar Peterson in 1999.
