| After receiving a B.A. in Fine Art, Barbara Silverberg decided to combine her passion for art and her keen business by opening an art gallery. From 1985 to 1997, she directed the Barbara Silverberg Gallery in Montreal which specialized in Canadian ceramics. After closing the gallery, Barbara founded two companies to promote Canadian art. Société Carte Option Art, is a non-profit organization with several associates who work under Barbara's guidance to publish free maps that promote the visual arts in cities and provinces across Canada. Her other enterprise, OPTION ART, presents and sells Canadian art by participating in fine art exhibitions and organizing traveling shows. The company also offers art consultation services including the selection and maintenance of art for corporate collections and the hotel industry. |
