| Lucien Laverdure felt the passion of tennis early on in life. By 1945 he had organized over 800 exhibition matches. In 1952, due solely to his tenacity, the first Québec tennis school came into being, while in 1969 he founded the first indoor tennis club, the ‘Club 4 Saisons’. In the meantime, in 1965 he would publish his first book, ‘Mon Obsession’ which sparked a statement he would often repeat: “Let us stop lamenting the demise of sport and start building”. |
