| n 1969, during the course of a conference on the social responsibility of private companies and the Bank of Montreal's involvement with the community, Mr. G. Arnold Hart, then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, came to the conclusion that the Bank should increase its social involvement. Young adult dropouts were then identified as one of the neediest groups in the Montreal community. |
